Join us for Wheels at Wanaka 2021

following a successful first event in easter 2019, Wheels at Wanaka will be back in 2021.
the event is a biennial vintage vehicle show rotating every other EASTER WEEKEND with Warbirds Over Wanaka international airshow

2021's programme is yet to be confirmed, however expect vintage farm fairs, car, motorcycle and truck parades, an earthmoving extravaganza, food and drink, retail therapy and so much more.

Wheels at Wanaka is not-for-profit trust, surplus funds from the event, will be directed to registered charities within the region. 2019's benefactors were Wanaka Coastguard and the West Otago Vintage Club.

Ticket sales are not yet available for Easter 2021, but you can register your interest here.

Public entry: 9am to 4.30pm, Saturday April 3rd and Sunday April 4th 2021

Public parking, ticket sales and entry gate is off Sir Tim Wallis Drive

Avoid the ticket queue and buy online (available from 2020 onwards) gate sales also available on the day

Merchandise can be pre-purchased online when you buy visitor tickets

No BYO Food or alcohol

WHEELS ENTRY pricE - one fee COVERS BOTH DAYS

  • $20 - one Car, Truck or Motorbike (driver only) 
    An extra $10 covers each extra car, truck or motorbike you'd like to bring e.g. on a trailer. Buy extras within the online shop.
  • $20 - Tractors, Earthmovers and Engines
    as many as you can transport to Wanaka for one single entry fee.
  • SPECIAL DISCOUNTED 2 DAY VISITOR PASSES
    Wheels Entrants can buy REDUCED priced tickets for their partners, helpers and kids at the online shop.
      $15 per adult passenger and/or helper
      $5 per youth (12-18 years)
      Kids under 12 go FREE

What's on show?

drivesouth Car & Motorcycle Show

Open to all veteran, vintage, classic and exotic cars; as well as motorcycles. If your wheels are unusual or just special, from a Morris Minor to a Maserati, you are welcome to enter!

class hc Tractor & Farming Heritage

Open to vintage and modern tractors, stationary engines, steam engines, vintage and farming machinery. We are celebrating the history of farming and country life through the years and would love to see your machines.

Note tractor parades and working displays are a feature part of this event.

Classic Truck Show

Open to all big and small rigs, vintage classic or modern. From a Morris to a Mac, if you have a truck that is old school cool or the latest, biggest and best, you are welcome to enter!

Gough Cat Earthmoving Extravaganza

Open to all construction and earthmoving machinery, old or new, big or small. If it’s a bulldozer, digger, scraper or loader it will be on display so please enter some of your gear!

This is both a working exhibition and a display.

Selected classic earthmoving machinery will be demonstrated and put through its paces in our giant sand pit.
